After 2 weeks of not golfing I was finally able to play today. We had our weekly tournament at Langara. I thought that the course would be really soggy and wet, due to the amount of rain we had last night, but it was actually quite in a good shape. Little wet in some spots, but most of it was just fine. My game was good. My drive was working pretty well, my putting was good and my chipping and short game was very good. I was finally able to par number 5 after long long time. My final score was a good 89, wich made me quite happy.

27 AugFinally after 2 weeks!!13 AugLangara todayToday we had our weekly tournament at langara. The course was still a bit dry but in a decent condition. The weather was perfect sunny but with a gentle breeze that kept us cool. The course wasn’t busy so we didn’t have to wait at all.My game started with a terrible double par at number 2…. due to a bad bounce on the left of the green…. on number 3 i was at 80 yards from the flag in 2 and i finished in 6 due to a terrible approach that landed on the other side of the green. I was able to par number 8. I had 4 putts at number 9!!!! The back 9 went much much better.. i had a chance of birdie number 11, which i ended up witha par. I was able to get some other few good holes that left me with a final score of 93.

09 AugRedwoodToday we went out in Langley to play Redwood. It is a really beautiful course. It is in the middle of a thick nice forest, with old trees. The course, unfortunately, was really wet and heavy due to the rain from last night. It was still raining when we started. Due to the rain we had a great deal on the green fee… in fact they charged us for the twilight rate at 11am. The course it is not easy, some very long par 4 and par 3, many dog legs and a lot of strategic placed bunkers. My game was pretty bad, in part due to the couse but mostly due bad game.

Today i played my weekly tournament at Langara. It was a very hot and slightly humid day. The course was dry.My game was decent, i had a few unlucky holes, like number 7 and 11. I was still not able to use my 5 wood at all. My short game on the other hand was quite good. I only had a couple of 3 putts. My best hole was number 16 that i almost birdied. My final score was 95… mostly due to a couple of badly played holes.

31 JulLangara yesterdayYesterday i had my weekly tournament at Langara. After a full day of rain the course was in much better shape. The dry spots were much softer and the ground was not so hard. The course was a bit backed up and slightly slow. We had to wait almost every tee box. My game wasn’t too good in the front 9 but it got much better in the back 9. I ended with a 93 that i haven’t scored in more than a month. My putt was back to normal, i actually had only 2 three putts, which made a big difference.

27 JulSandpiperYesterday we played at Sandpiper. I consider that course one of my favourite. The nature and the area makes that place almost unreal. My game was pretty terrible in the first couple of holes where for some reason i wasn’t able to make a good hit. After that it got much better and i was able to hit some pretty sweet shot. I had one of the most terrifying bunker shot ever… as you can see in the picture, but i was able to get it out of there decently. I had another terrible hole at 17 when a strong wind in our face made the long par 4 twice as long. My putting was still terrible…. that didn’t help my score either, but in my defence the green were really tough.I really look forward to go play that course again.

26 JulSeymourYesterday i was invited to play a corporate tournament at Seymour Country Club. It is a private course that allows public to play on mondays and fridays. The course is pretty spectacular, most of the holes are in the middle of a forest with some elevation changes. By the green of number 7 there a very amazing view of Indian harm. The fairways are pretty wide and not terribly challenging. My game wasn’t bad, i had some putting trouble in the fron nine that made me end up with a 51, but on the back i was able to get into a much better putting shape and i was able to finish with a 99, that i don’t consider bad for a new course. I really look forward to play this course again.Today off to Sandpiper

24 JulLangara YesterdayYesterday I had my weekly tournament at Langara. The course was really dry, lots of dry patches made chipping quite challenging. Greens were very firm and pretty fast. Overall i was able to finish with a 96. I had some decent holes, some not so good ones and a couple of terrible ones. I started with a horrible triple bogey on the first one due to an unplayable lie that caused me an unexpected penalty. I had the chance yesterday to test the little gps software that I installed on my cell phone. It worked really really well, it increased my accuracy with distance few times.
