Frasierview

This is one of my favourite courses here in Vancouver. It is a very old course with a lot of charm.  It is a city course but it is build in the middle of a forest. Most of the holes are surrounded but very old trees that make this course pretty unique. Unfortunatelly it is a very busy course and find a tee time can be very challenging in summer time. It is the perfect course for winter though because it is not very busy, has a great drenage and it doesn’t get too swampy.

The most scenic hole is for sure number 18th, that has a wide revine to pass to reach the green.18th green and the revine

Rainy golf day

Today was rainy, windy and rather cold. That didn’t stop us from a quick round of 9 at Gleneagles.

Langara golf course

sunset by the 18th greenThis is my second home course. Unfortunatelly this year we couldn’t play there as much as we usually do because of the city workers strike.

This city course is really fun to play. Even thought it is in the middle of a very high traffic area while playing it is almost impossible to spot the city. Green at number 13

Some of its holes are pretty challanging like hole number 7 a very long par 4 with few obstacles to pass to reach the green; hole number 9 that has a big oak tree to guard the green; hole number 11 a long par 5. The course is perfect for a summer afternoon of golfing. In winter can became very wet and heavy. It is not rare to spot coyotes specially around the green of number 5.Oak tree at number 9

Gleneagles - West Vancouver

Mountain by the green of number 4This course is like home for me. I play there quite often. It is not too far, there is no need for a reservation and it is lot of fun.Fairway of number 6

It is a 9 hole course, not too challanging but pretty fun to play. Some holes have a tremendous view.

This course it is very good to meet other golfer because people and staff are very friendly.
