Langara yesterday
Yesterday i had my weekly tournament at Langara. After a full day of rain the course was in much better shape. The dry spots were much softer and the ground was not so hard. The course was a bit backed up and slightly slow. We had to wait almost every tee box. My game wasn’t too good in the front 9 but it got much better in the back 9. I ended with a 93 that i haven’t scored in more than a month. My putt was back to normal, i actually had only 2 three putts, which made a big difference.
Sandpiper
Yesterday we played at Sandpiper. I consider that course one of my favourite. The nature and the area makes that place almost unreal. My game was pretty terrible in the first couple of holes where for some reason i wasn’t able to make a good hit. After that it got much better and i was able to hit some pretty sweet shot. I had one of the most terrifying bunker shot ever… as you can see in the picture, but i was able to get it out of there decently. I had another terrible hole at 17 when a strong wind in our face made the long par 4 twice as long. My putting was still terrible…. that didn’t help my score either, but in my defence the green were really tough.I really look forward to go play that course again.
Seymour
Yesterday i was invited to play a corporate tournament at Seymour Country Club. It is a private course that allows public to play on mondays and fridays. The course is pretty spectacular, most of the holes are in the middle of a forest with some elevation changes. By the green of number 7 there a very amazing view of Indian harm. The fairways are pretty wide and not terribly challenging.My game wasn’t bad, i had some putting trouble in the fron nine that made me end up with a 51, but on the back i was able to get into a much better putting shape and i was able to finish with a 99, that i don’t consider bad for a new course. I really look forward to play this course again.Today off to Sandpiper
Langara Yesterday
Yesterday I had my weekly tournament at Langara. The course was really dry, lots of dry patches made chipping quite challenging. Greens were very firm and pretty fast. Overall i was able to finish with a 96. I had some decent holes, some not so good ones and a couple of terrible ones. I started with a horrible triple bogey on the first one due to an unplayable lie that caused me an unexpected penalty. I had the chance yesterday to test the little gps software that I installed on my cell phone. It worked really really well, it increased my accuracy with distance few times. 
Fraserview today
Today we played Fraserview. The course was impeccable, not very busy and not slow at all. My game on the other end was really bad. I ended up with a terrible 102, due mostly to horrible putts (i ended up with a total of 42 putts!!!) and very bad luck. I didn’t have a good bounce the all round. When it could bounce left to the green or right in the sand it was always ending in the sand! I will have to work more on my putting thought because this was not aceptable. I will post some good photos i took today later on.
Langara Today
Today we had our weekly tournament at Langara. The weather was amazing, sunny, dry with a little breeze. The course was in decent shape, a bit of dry patches here and there. Peace of play a bit slow, few groups in fornt of us were taking long time to find their balls. My game was not too bad. I finished with a 94, which is one of the best score of this season at Langara. Unfortunately i lost few strokes for bad putting. I had 3 holes where i had a 3 putts… 
Greenacres
Today we played Greenacres in Richmond. The course was in good shape. The weather was terrific. Fairways are really narrow, that didn’t agree with my game at all, in fact i had few slices that made me play from other fairways. I managed to score a 96, with a decent back nine and not so good fron nine. Unfortunately the fron nine were really really slow, it took us 3 and half hours to finish them. Fortunately few groups in front of us dropped after 9 so the back one picked up pretty well. I was quite happy to finish the round with 2 good par (even thought the one at 18 was mostly out of luck). One problem with this cours is the noise, between the planes landing and the highway that runs parallel to many holes the noise is very high.
Tournament at greenacres tomorrow
Tomorrow i’ll have a tournament at Greenacres in Richmond. I’ve played that course only once and it wasn’t really my kind of course, fairways are very narrow and it is not really good for my game. I’ll post some comments about it tomorrow.
