Yesterday i had the pleasure to play Morgan Creek, in south Surrey. The course is really nice, great friendly service, pristine conditions. It is slightly challenging but not terribly challenging. There are lots of sand trapsm strategically placed, and water hazards that make the game quite fun.

My final score was 98 which is pretty good for a course i’ve never played before. I straggled a lot with my putting on my fron 9, mostly because i felt a bit rushed, on the back nine it was much better. On the back 9 my driver was really good as well. The irons from the fairways were really good for the all 18. I was in the sand quite a bit, as usual, but i always managed to get out pretty well. I was particularly happy of a 5 iron from a sand trap on number 7, a long par 5, that came out just perfect like it wasn’t even in the sand at all. 

Only the weather wasn’t the best, it rained a bit between hole number 5 to 11, but overall wasn’t a heavy rain. 

I definitely want to go back and play that course again.

I had a great day at furry creek. The weather couldn’t have been better, nice and sunny, a bit windy in some holes but nothing too bad. The course was in very good conditions, the green were recently pounced and they still had a bit of sand on top.

My game was pretty good in the fron 9 where i managed to score a 46. The back 9 started good, with but they turned terrible around hole 14…. where i shoot a double par, than 16 that was a double bogey and an embarrassing 8* (* stands for i stopped counting) at number 17. I closed with a nice solid drive and a good approach at 18. I finished the back 9 with a 51*….

The deal we got was really fantastic, 62 dollars including dinner and the cart i think you can’t go wrong with that. The staff there is always friendly and very helpful. That makes a pleasure play that course every time.

PS. I was able to loose only 4 balls that is quite an achievement for Furry Creek.

Today i played a round at langara. The course was in very bad conditions. Fairways are still wet and very heavy, Greens are bumpy, with a few water damage. The weather was cloudy but not cold, it rained a little around hole 16 but nothing too serious. 
My game was pretty bad, the driver didn’t work at all for the all day, irons were  fine, mostly the short ones specially pitching wedge and sand wedge. I wasn’t focused on my putting at all,  other than a couple of good putts most of them were way off. The final score was a terrible 101, mostly due to bad play but a little due to the bad course condition.

t of rain we had the day before. The course is defiantly challenging, lots of long par 4, narrow fairways and lots of sand traps.

My game was ok, still a bit rusty but defiantly improving. I had some trouble with my driver the first few holes but it came back pretty quick. My irons are still working pretty

 good. I had the courage to try my 5 wood from some of the fairways and i had a couple of good shots with it. Putting was really good when i was really far from the hole, while the short ones were prett

y bad. Considering that it was a new course for me i was still pretty rusty i didn’t keep score and i just enjoyed the experience.

Frasierview today… 

a great sunny day. The course was in decent condition, the greens were really firm and fast. My game was good, considering i haven’t played for more than 5 months. I finished with a decent 99. I was expecting something  much worst than that.

My putt was pretty good, my driver worked most of the time. Short game was a bit rusty. 

Overall was an amazing afternoon.

Finally the new season is coming. I went to the driving range last week and i was really rusty. I need a LOT of practice.
